Digital Photography Holidays in South West France    with Graham Berry

Our farmhouse is situated in an idyllic rural setting in the heart of Quercy Blanc in the Lot, in South West France, just 5 minutes from Montcuq, 10 minutes from Lauzerte and 20 minutes from Cahors.

Your accommodation is in a charming, spacious, self-contained cottage with 3 bedrooms (1 double with ensuite bathroom, 2 twin-bedded rooms with shared bathroom) and a comfortable living room, which adjoins the farmhouse, or in our guest bedroom in the main house.

You are not required to share a room, unless you choose to bring another photographer, or a non-participating guest to share your room with you. So there may be as few as 3 photographers on the course and never more than 6.

Here you will be able to relax and make yourselves at home, enjoying the wonderful views over the garden to the countryside beyond.

Central heating and a wood burning stove ensure that the cottage remains cosy in the spring and autumn, while the thick stone walls keep it deliciously cool during the summer. Outside, we have three acres of garden and meadow with a sheltered solar-heated 11 x 7m swimming pool.

The grounds are a haven for wildlife and are surrounded by farmland. There are quiet roads and lanes for walking or cycling, and the pilgrims route of Saint Jacques (St James or Santiago de Compostela), the GR65, offers off-road pathways to Montcuq and Lauzerte.

All meals are provided (including wine), and will often be enjoyed out of doors or, if the weather is inclement, in the farmhouse kitchen with your hosts.

You will be treated to regional and international cuisine using the best of local produce, and catering for special diets is no problem. This is after all, an area which is renowned for its gastronomic delights, and one of the reasons that we so enjoy living here!

By joining us on this course you will be able to sample the delights of French life whilst enjoying learning new skills.

Each day will bring the opportunity to go out and explore, whether in the glorious countryside or in one of the nearby medieval towns.

This unspoiled region offers numerous photographic opportunities, as well as being of historical and cultural interest.

Equipment in the cottage includes: iron & board, hairdryer, TV (UK Satellite), Hi-Fi with DVD, CD & cassette player, board games and books, Wifi internet access.

In the garden you can play boules, badminton or table tennis, or relax in a hammock under the shade of the cherry trees.

We go out in any weather to take photos and you may need to walk up muddy paths or across fields to get the shot you want, so please bring waterproof shoes and clothing!

We request no smoking in the buildings.

The cottage is available for holiday lets throughout the year. Why not stay before or after your course for a holiday with friends or family? For more information about holiday lettings please see
